Events
Because of the wide scope of facilities available at the Bridge Centre, we are able to host almost any event you have in mind. Our multi purpose room (pictured) covers all the essentials and is ideal as a self contained events room or used in conjunction with the rest of the building. For more details on the technical specifications of our other available rooms, please visit our conference page, or follow the links at the right of this page. The Bridge Centre uses local caterers for the events that we organise, and we can arrange catering for your event in the same way if you need us to. We are also licensed to sell alcohol and can arrange a bar if required. Tables and chairs for your guests aren't a problem either, and we can help with the layout of your room as much or as little as you need us to. See more photographs of the multi purpose room.
Parties
Our multi purpose room makes the perfect venue for a sophisticated party. The room lends itself to being decorated to your taste or theme and has a direct entrance from the car park, perfect for your guests or caterers! The Bridge Centre is licensed to sell alcohol and a bar can be arranged. We have a range of equipment such as lighting that can be used upon request, and we would be delighted to discuss your celebration with you. However, as a building in the heart of the community we would discourage particularly late or noisy events and any behaviour which leads to the discomfort of our neighbours or damage to the building.
Weddings
Because we not only have a large auditorium, but also a coffee lounge and a multi purpose room all on one site, the Bridge Centre is the perfect venue for your special day! We have already hosted a number of weddings, all of which have been a success (Please see the articles at the right hand side of this page). We are currently in the process of putting together a wedding pack which will be downloadable from this site. Funerals
We appreciate that arranging a funeral can be difficult, and so we have a number of different ways in which we can provide support. On the practical side, the Bridge Centre can accomodate both funeral services and any additional refreshments you wish to provide in our coffee lounge. We can also liase with the undertakers to make sure that all the arrangements run smoothly.
The Bridge Centre is home to The Potter's House - 21st Century church. Their services are available for the conduct of the service. If you would like to discuss your needs with them, please contact Pastor Phil Barber on 01782 683781 or you can email on phil.barber@thebridgecentre.org.uk
